#tbt Enoch and Mellisa competed at their first Pan Am Championship for team Canada. Here is the sharing of their experience.
Mellisa: 2017 Pan Ams was one of the most memorable and fun competitions that I’ve participated in. Some highlights included seeing such talented athletes from other countries who pushed us to do our best, as well as creating new memories with friends within our country as well as internationally. Through victory and loss, the support of my family, friends, coaches and teammates made this trip possible, and I’m grateful to have had the privilege of being part of the experience. Podium finish or not, what I miss the most is that sense of unity we had as a team.
Enoch: Going to this pan am games was a good experience since it was my first time seeing people from other countries and seeing how good they are. This helped motivate me to continue to work hard and try to match or be better than these other countries. i was also able to make new friends and bond together as a team. Overall it was a fun and exciting experience that i will remember for a lifetime.
Sometimes what we think it’s important is not really that important; fame, achievement, power, etc. The eyes and heart of children reminds us the important things in life. #friendship #memories #unity #fun
